Plotbot Plus: 40 W desktop CO2 laser cutting machine
A 40 W CO2 laser cutter and engraver with a 2 × 1.5 ft working area. It cuts acrylic up to 6 mm and MDF up to 5 mm, and engraves wood, leather, paper, fabric and more at up to 300 mm/s. Designed and built by Retech Lasers in Chennai, and small enough for a workbench in a studio, shop or college lab.

Plotbot software for Windows is developed at Retech’s R&D centre in Chennai. Import PNG, JPG, BMP, TIF, SVG or DXF files, or add text and shapes. Set engraving speed, laser power, scan lines per inch and cutting speed yourself, or pick a preset for wood, acrylic, leather and other materials. Check the real-time preview, then send the job.

What can the Plotbot Plus cut, and how thick?
The Plotbot Plus cuts acrylic up to 6 mm, MDF up to 5 mm and leather up to 3 mm. It also cuts and engraves wood, paper and card, stickers, stencils, fabric such as cotton and felt, foam sheet and rexine. Cutting speed is 0–15 mm/s and engraving speed is 0–300 mm/s.
Can the Plotbot Plus cut metal?
No. The Plotbot Plus uses a 40 W CO2 laser, which cuts and engraves non-metal materials. For mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or copper you need a fiber laser: the Plotbot Fiber, with 1.5, 3 or 6 kW sources and a 10 × 5 ft bed.
Which software and file formats does it use?
Plotbot software, developed by Retech Lasers in Chennai for Windows PCs. It imports BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIF, SVG and DXF files, and has material presets and a real-time preview. Version 5.11 is the latest download.
Where is the Plotbot Plus made?
The Plotbot Plus is designed and manufactured by Retech Lasers Private Limited in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Plotbot control board, firmware and software are developed in-house. Retech has delivered 800+ machines across India.
