Plotbot software, made for the machine
Plotbot is Retech’s own Windows software for its CO2 laser cutting machines. It imports PNG, JPG, SVG, DXF, BMP and TIF files, converts images to vectors, and shows a real-time preview. Layout tools include unite, subtract, offset and nesting, which matters on a 2440 × 1220 mm bed.

Does the Plotbot Max take a full 8 × 4 ft sheet?
Yes. The working area is 8 × 4 ft (2440 × 1220 mm), so a full sheet of MDF, plywood or acrylic goes on the bed without being cut down first. That means one job per sheet and fewer reloads.
How thick can the Plotbot Max cut?
It carries the same 130 W sealed CO2 laser tube as the Plotbot Pro, which cuts acrylic up to 13 mm and MDF up to 8 mm. Cut depth also depends on the material grade and on speed and power.
What is the difference between the Plotbot Pro and the Plotbot Max?
Both use a 130 W CO2 laser with the same speeds and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The difference is the bed: 4 × 3 ft on the Pro, 8 × 4 ft on the Max. Choose the Pro for a smaller footprint and the Max for full sheets and volume.
Is the Plotbot Max beginner-friendly?
Yes. It has an on-machine touch menu for settings, files and jogging, and Plotbot software with material presets and a real-time preview. Setup videos and software support are included.
Can the Plotbot Max cut metal?
No. For mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or copper you need the Plotbot Fiber, Retech’s fiber laser metal cutting machine.
